The Characters
| NICK (played by Franke Lauria) is a transplanted New Yorker living in southern California (or as he refers to it: "The Land of Fruits & Nuts") and is the sole proprietor of his own computer consulting company. In addition to facing the daily battles that come with running a business, Nick is surrounded by all kinds of people that constantly drive him crazy; crossing the bounds of, what he considers to be, common sense. Outspoken and politically incorrect, he faces office politics, sexism, racism, feminism, and every other 'ism', while somehow trying to deal with the social differences between the coasts. | |
| DANIELLE (played by Marian Cabuto) is a San Diego native. A spicy 'latina', she uses her skills & intellect as her primary means to climb the corporate ladder; although she won't hesitate to use her good looks when it suits her. Trying to live up to the tough, independent, feminist ideals of her corporate peers, Danielle is by nature an 'old-fashioned girl' with traditional values. Always out to prove her worth in the office, she dreams of finding her 'prince charming'. | |
| JT
(played by Mark Broadnax) is from the Bel-Air area of Los Angeles. He is 'sharp' in
both looks & intellect. However, his reserved and professional
demeanor often gives way to a wry, sarcastic and somewhat condescending
personality. A bit of an instigator, he will often slyly turn up the heat
on already 'hot topics' for his own amusement - forever dancing on 'the
line', he is always careful never to cross it. With his ivy-league degree
in Business Law, from Stanford Law School, JT is responsible for all the
legal aspects involved with Nick's business.

|
| ERIC (played by Jay Scott) is from Austin, Texas and went to UTA. Throughout high school & college, Eric was quite the ladies man. A school jock, he was also a star football & wrestling team athlete. With an "all American boy" charm, he was always very sociable and naturally developed the people skills one needs to sell swampland in Arizona. It was in college that Alex realized the truth about his homosexuality, and decided California was as good a place to 'come out' as any. | |
| ALEX (played by Andrew Levy) is from a Canton, Ohio and went to community technical college in Columbus. Like so many people from the mid-west, he finally got tired of the snow and headed to SoCal for the sunshine & bikini-clad women. Alex was always a bit of a nerd in school - not quite the weakling, book worm type, but more one who was always building things or rigging something up. He is the consummate tech-fanatic. However, as such, he never really developed the 'smooth lady skills' he somehow believes he possesses... which too often becomes apparent. Though quite computer savvy, he lacks experience & will try to compensate by throwing bogus technical terms around that he knows no one understands - except Nick (who busts him). Often impatient with users, excessive tech-gear is part of his daily wardrobe. | |
| JENNIFER (played by Wendy Savage) your typical blue-eyed blonde, she is from Melbourne, Florida. Dissatisfied with the surfing at Sebastian Inlet, Jennifer decided to switch coasts when choosing a college. Now an undeclared, undergraduate at SDSU, Jennifer can usually be found 'hanging ten' at one of the local surfing hot spots (when she's not in the office reading through surfing magazines). Her laid back attitude is likewise reflected in her attire & lack of office enthusiasm. She is often reprimanded for bringing too much of the beach into the office... not to mention her surf boards. It is her granola-liberal, left-wing, idealistic views which drives Nick insane. | |
| CYNTHIA (played by Sara Jane Nash) is Danielle's good friend and ex-college roommate. Born and raised in the U.K., Cynthia went to University here in the States where she (along with Danielle) earned her degree in 'Business Administration'. Beautiful, well-educated & well-traveled, Cynthia hides a 'mischievious' side below her otherwise sophisticated surface. | |
| MR. JAMISON (played by Stan Hollingworth) is a successful business man, and has been living & workng in San Diego for... well... a long time. Finding it increasingly difficult to contend with the current technology used by his competition, Mr Jamison has wisely decided to take his business to the "information age". This leads him to Nick & his band of 'Computer Crazies' who propose a website that will help Mr. Jamison more effectivly compete in today's digital marketplace. However, Mr. Jamison soon realizes he is less prepared for the 'modern business world' than he had thought. |
