Born Christmas night at Union Hospital in the Bronx (NYC), Franke was bitten by the acting bug at a very early age. While attending P.S. 33 and 83 he was cast in several school productions and won a variety of class awards for his writing. By the time he reached High School, Franke was not only an honor student, but also studied martial arts (Karate) and was on the school track team. It was during that time when he and a friend formed a heavy metal band called Kruciform. With Franke as the lead guitarist, Kruciform played at various clubs throughout the New York City area. With their unique brand of heavy metal, Kruciform attained some local success during their 5 years together. But when contract negotiations with a record label broke down, Franke decided to change directions and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While stationed at Naval Air Station Miramar, in San Diego California, Franke served his entire 4 years as an Aircraft Weapons Systems Specialist. In his free time, Franke was a member of the Armed Forces Aero Club where he earned his license as an FAA Certified Private Pilot. After his enlistment, Franke remained in San Diego, earned his degree in Robotics, resumed his study of martial arts (Kung Fu) and began a career in Computers. One day, while out having lunch with a friend, Franke came across the registration table for a well known Model & Talent School. Always being one to challenge himself, Franke decided to return to the artistic province he had left, and began to study acting. Since that time, he has performed, produced and directed in a multitude of independent & commercial projects, and he continues to study & improve his art today.

Born in San Diego, Marian loved watching "Star Search" as a child. As a little girl, she would tell her mother... "Mom, I can do that. I want to be on television." Marian grew up entertaining her family and friends. Standing on either a box or a rock, she would perform for them stories that she had written. As early as the 8th grade, Marian became a Pop Warner Cheerleader, and continued to cheer through High School. Again, she knew she loved to perform for an audience, even if it was just on the football field. Shortly before Marian graduated, her High School Cheer Advisor created an award named after Marian… it was called the, "Mare Award" and was awarded to the cheerleader who demonstrated the greatest passion and enthusiasm for entertaining. The "Mare Award" still exists today. In her Senior year, Marian got her first lead role in the play, "The Red House Mystery." Marian attended college at San Diego State University where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Communications. Later, she signed with a San Diego agent and began auditioning; landing multiple modeling jobs, and various parts in stage and film. Marian has recently relocated to Los Angeles and is currently pursuing her dream to it's fullest.

While in Sacramento, Mark attended college, and began doing Stand Up Comedy. He and his family relocated to San Diego 4 years ago and, since then, Mark has performed at the “Comedy Store” in La Jolla and at various local comedy venues. Mark entered into the acting world just 2 years ago with a lead role in "The Algerians" at Cassius Carter Center Stage produced by Playwrights Project. His other theatre experiences include, "Prelude to a Kiss", "Oedipus", "Bacchae", and "Hypocrisy". Mark has also been involved in several independent films and is a cast member on a local sketch comedy show “The House” aired on Time Warner and Cox cable. Mark would like to thank the cast and crew of "The Computer Guy" for the opportunity to be one piece of the puzzle that brought Franke's vision of a sitcom-style, short comedy film to life. Last, but certainly not least, Mark would like to thank his family for their love, support, and inspiration.

Jay Scott

Jay Scott has not followed the traditional path that most actors take. This native Southern Californian earned a B.S. in Bacteriology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended medical school. After receiving his MD degree, Jay completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. While doing all of this, he was pursuing a high level athletic career. As a former competitive figure skater, he was used to the cameras and bright lights. Shortly after an accident on the ice ended his competitive career, he met some influential people in the entertainment industry and decided to pursue acting. He has not looked back since. Jay is a veteran of the stage and big screen. He can be seen as a carnie in "Three Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain" starring Loni Anderson and Hulk Hogan, as an orthopedic surgeon in "True Vinyl," and as the General Manager of a hotel in "The Married Men's Club." Jay also plays the role of the hard-ass and sleazy prosecuting attorney, Matthew Lieberman, in "Prayer Before Murder." He won Best Supporting Actor for his role as Kenny in Neil Simon's "Proposals" and Best Ensemble for the stage production of "Après Opera." Jay is most proud of his role as Eric in "Computer Guy." He is indebted to Franke Lauria for giving him the opportunity to play this naive, vapid, fun loving, over-the-top character.
